Camping is a recreational activity where people go outdoors and set up temporary houses using tents etc to enjoy living close to nature. When people go camping they usually make born fires and cook food in those fires and enjoy music with friends and family.

- Ensure you check the weather report before you plan your trip.
- Carry books, instruments, games, speakers (battery-powered) for entertainment as you may not receive a signal on your phone.
- Pack light and in an organized and efficient manner (travel, setup and packing up becomes a lot easier).
- Always carry basic medicines and a first aid kit.
- Carry all necessary toiletries.
- Carry one direction aiding device at least (e.g., a compass).
- Ensure you carry plenty of drinking water for all members of the party.
- Keep battery-powered light sources and sufficient batteries.
- Carry basic protective/survival gear such as knife, matches, lighter, rope, thread/string, tape, glue, spare pieces of cloth, etc. (you never know when it could be of use).
- Keep a pen and paper with you if you like (whether for writing reminders and stories or other purposes).
- In case you carry insufficient drinking water, water from natural sources (if murky) can be disinfected by boiling; add salt, if necessary, to reduce metallic taste (according to WHO).
- Keep alarms and other means to wake up; also wear watches to keep track of time.
- Carry vessels and dishes to cook and eat out of.
