Hall of Fame Leh Ladakh
Hall of Fame in Leh consisting of 2 stories is a proud show of the Indian Army that basically represents those gloomy days of India’s war against Pakistan. The museum that displays seized arms and weapons of the Pakistan army is located in Leh, Ladakh.
Furthermore, the hall of fame museum is a tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives during the war. The Indian Army has actually kept the photos and the things of those soldiers inside the museum.
Quotes, letters that are written by the soldiers, also the tools, aircraft, weapons, tents and different things that are used by the soldiers are preserved in the museum which gives a patriotic feeling to all the visitors and pay tribute to all the soldiers who lost their lives.
Hall of Fame is stationed next to Leh Airfield and the cherry on the top is that the museum is open on all days. Every day, a detailed documentary on Operation Vijai or Kargil War is screened for the visitors.

What exactly is inside the Hall of Fame Leh?
As mentioned, the Hall of Fame is divided into various segments. There is a segment named OP Vijay Gallery. Here, you can see the seized arms and weapons of the Pakistan army.
On the same floor but in a different segment, you can see different types of apparel and amenities used by the Indian Army in the Siachen region. On the same floor yet different segment you will see pictures of the Kargil Wars on the wall.

Further, you will see a projection room wherein you can watch a documentary named “Operation Vijay”. Moving ahead, you will see a wall named “The Last Post”. This was the letter written by Captain Vijayant Thapar to his parents some days before he became a martyr.
After reading the letter, you will sense grief and pride, while tears flow out of the tear glands above your eye, you are reminded that they have sacrificed their lives so that you can be in peace. If you head to another segment you will see the display of history, culture and other associated facts about Ladakh.
There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy several items such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, caps, pashmina shawls, and etc. You can also do a photoshoot in the Ladakhi attire and get the prints of the same after paying a small amount of money.

How to Reach Hall of Fame, Leh?
The Hall of Fame is located at a distance of 4 Km from Leh City. You can reach the Hall of Fame on the way to Magnetic Hill via Leh Srinagar Highway. You can book a taxi from Leh Market or ask your travel agency to include hall of fame Leh in your itinerary

To enter the museum you need to pay an entry fee of Rs 25/- per person.
